Meet Alisa
Alisa Hidalgo, M.S CCC-SLP is a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist, Feeding Therapist, and Myofunctional Therapist with over a decade of experience specializing in pediatric feeding disorders and early speech and language disorders. As a mom of two young daughters, she combines professional expertise with a deep personal understanding of family dynamics, creating a unique connection with the families she supports.

Certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and extensively trained in evidence-based modalities such as PROMPT, Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS), Hanen, Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC), Oral Placement Therapy (OPT), and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), Alisa provides individualized care rooted in the latest advancements in the field. She has trained with leading experts, including Debra Beckman, Diane Bahr, Katherine Shaker, Marsha Dunn Klein, and Ann Marie Presberg, to stay at the forefront of both feeding therapy and early intervention for speech and language development.

Alisa is also an active member of organizations such as Feeding Matters and has completed specialized courses that emphasize addressing root causes rather than surface symptoms. Her approach is collaborative and interdisciplinary—she works closely with nutritionists, psychologists, occupational and physical therapists, physicians, and families to craft tailored treatment plans with measurable outcomes.

Known for her holistic, family-centered approach, Alisa creates supportive environments where children can thrive. She empowers parents to turn everyday routines—like mealtimes, playtime, and story time—into rich opportunities for connection, language development, and growth.

Alisa earned her B.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Boston University and her M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from New York University.

In her private practice, Alisa specializes in responsive feeding therapy, child-led, sensory-based approaches, and the treatment of complex motor speech disorders. Whether addressing feeding challenges, orofacial myofunctional therapy, or early language development delays, her mission is to create meaningful, lasting change for the children and families she serves.
Our community
At the heart of our work lies a commitment to not just individual care, but also to building a thriving community of support. Through meaningful collaborations with parents, clinicians, and entrepreneurs, we aim to empower families, share knowledge, and create a network that uplifts everyone involved in a child's journey toward healthy feeding and development.
